The workshop was held at the City Council of Timburi and was attended by farmers and their families, the environmental secretaries of the current and previous administrations, councilors and other interested people. The event brought together about 50 people.
The founders of PRETATERRA, Paula and Valter, presented the project, its objectives and benefits to participating farmers and answered questions. At the end of the presentation, each interested farmer filled in a application form initial information about their livelihoods, what is their main objective in joining the project and which cultures are intended.
There was also clarification on the next steps of the project and its development. Above all, it was a historic moment for the city from Timburi: the meeting of local wisdom with PRETATERRA innovation. The workshop was an absolute success and opened the project with a flourish.
THE next phase is already underway, and is the prospection of farmers and the selection of those who will receive the implementation of agroforestry on their property.
